“ It's a great spot to meet up with friends. The pastry selection was my favorite. They were cold in the middle even after being warmed up but a good experience overall ”
“ Good coffee, great chicken salad sandwich with fries. Met with a friend to work on a project. Great place to hang out. ”
“ The sandwiches were really good and so delicious. They were freshly made with great flavors. The breakfast sandwiches has stuffed with great filling. It taste so good and fantastic. The breakfast meals options were wonderful. The coffee was really delicious and so tasty. Great aroma with smooth taste. The place was cool with a homey vibe. ”
“ Although this place is not far from my house, I still never quite make it here. I was in the area again to rediscover this gem. All of the staff were upbeat and quirky, which made for a pleasant experience. I got a brownie and an ice coffee and sat in their outside sunroom area (perfect for getting the feel of outside, without having to be in the blazing sun). I need to make it a priority to come back for food because that will really seal the deal! ”
“ Flat out, the best food you will get at a coffee house AND the best coffee in Baltimore. The review could end here, what else could you want? Allow me a few suggestions. Chef Joe Robinson, one of the hardest working human beings you will meet, has won the Sun's Best Chef in Baltimore twice and he was going up against people with Michelin stars. He makes his own lox, smokes his own meats, roasts his own turket, makes his own hot honey and 1000 Island Dressing. Joe is part animal, part machine. He loves cooking and he deserves respect. My Mother always wants to go "Visit your friend Joe's place" for breakfast, on her birthday. She says he makes the best cream chipped beef she has ever had. (Always check the daily specials, breakfast is an event, the Grilled Rueben comes on house made saurkraut rye and Burger Night is legendary.) Zeke's staff are diligent and, dare I say, compassionate. They know brunch means a lot to some of us. I waited all week and they go out of their way to make it special, even when it gets crowded. Any time you go there, the food and coffee is exceptional, you can buy the best small batch roasted beans in town, they make a bunch of deliciousthings in house, they even have beer. What are you waiting for??? ”
“ Before I moved to Baltimore, Zeke's was the only coffee shop I had heard of. My friend was a huge fan of theirs and she had periodically sent me bags of their beans. You better believe when we moved here, Zeke's was the first coffee shop we visited. What I love about Zeke's is the sheer number of roasts they will have available at any time. Walk into their shop and their shelves are packed full of various roasts and blends. I can always find something that interests me for my home coffee needs. Beside their coffee shelves, right by their entrance, is an illustrated graphic explaining the ingredients in all the different types of coffee. I love this! It means that not only will coffee snobs feel at home in their shop but the novice drinkers can be comfortable as well. Don't know the components of a drink? Just take a look at their wall. Zeke's has an extensive menu of hot and iced drinks. It is one of the largest I've seen. I've tried more drinks here than probably any other shop because of their menu size and constantly rotating "specials". 9 out of 10 times I enjoy these drinks. Zeke's also has a large variety of baked goods including a bunch of vegan options. The vegan chocolate croissants are gigantic! So, why not five stars? Mainly the parking. It stinks here. The lot is crowded and small and hard to navigate. I spend more time parking than ordering and drinking my coffee. I have begun to combat this by parking far away and walking. ”
“ This is where Zekes Coffee started! I've been a fan of Zekes for a while - it was definitely one of the first local coffees I tried in Baltimore. I often get their bags of coffee from the farmers market so it's always a treat to visit their storefront. This was my second time here - the first time I came with a friend and tried a poppyseed Hamantaschen. The pastries and coffee shop here aren't high end, but the coffee is good and the store is so big - it's definitely more industrial feeling than the more hipster coffee joints you see popping up! The staff is fast and friendly and there is an area you can sit with dogs separate from the main area. I got their cafe con panna this time. Solid spot and definitely a neighborhood staple. ”
